The (New) World Tobacco Issues Index

The New World Tobacco Issues Index contains details of all insert tobacco cards (and silks) issued from the 1880s to August 2000. The lists are in the alphabetical sequence of the name of the issuer. Sufficient information is given for each series to enable it to be identified easily. There are no lists of individual subjects within a set, but cross-references to other books are included to enable that information to be found. Cross-references are also included to the American Card Catalog (Burdick) numbers. The illustrations are confined to those which are necessary to enable collectors to distinguish between similar groups of cards.

Part 1 comprises an Introduction and all the cards of issuers with names A-K. Part II has all issuers L-Z as well as Anonymous issues (i.e. those without the name, initials or brand name of the firm).

Each book is about 350 pages, and includes approximately 20 illustrations.
