2012 AND BEYOND
Murray Cards Ltd. is pleased to announce the amalgamation and continuation of Murray Cards (International) Ltd., the world renowned cigarette and trade card specialist.
Murray Cards, founded by Martin Murray, was due to close at the end of December 2011 but the business will re-open from new premises in North West London from Spring 2012 with an all new and updated price guide being released in June/July 2012.
At the same time we are also pleased to announce the Murray`s Archive Auction. This will take place in the latter part of the year and will feature many rare and unseen cards from the 1800s to the turn of the century that are from the business, with some cards carrying provenance from the Edward Wharton Tigar Collection that Martin Murray had purchased in the early 1990s.
Murray Cards Ltd. CEO Darren Epstein commented " When you think of cigarette and trade cards, three names are always referenced, Jefferson Burdick, Edward Wharton Tigar and Martin Murray. It is my opinion, having been involved around the card Industry for 25 years, that the Murray Cards empire should remain in some form and the guide book should continue to be released as it has been done for the past 47 years. Under this agreement we have ensured that this will happen."
We will keep all of the Murray Cards customers up to speed by E Mail and on the website as to plans and events over the course of the next few months, but having Martin as an advisor we hope to bring some cards to the market that have remained untouched at the shop for a long time, if ever.
Customers who are on our E Mail list will remain so, unless they choose to be removed. We will advise customers in due course of our new address, telephone numbers and plans for the release of the new price guide in the summer.
